Then he curse his descendants because they saw him drunk and naked. Firstly, why is he allowed to drink alcohol and why is he allowed to curse someone? In my world, curses belong to dark magic. And there are even more passages that talk about alcohol as if it were a good thing. From experience I can say that alcohol tends to bring out the darkness in people that cannabis is not able to bring out, yet all the biblical characters drink alcohol.

This is just another example of why I don’t like the label “Protestant.” Lutherans and Anglo-Catholics believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist and that it is truly the blood and body of Christ. The above mentioned, Catholics, and Orthodox all believe that IS means IS. They formulate differently as to how this works according to their own theological systems but they all are faithful to the scriptures as to the objectivity of Christ’s presence.

Every religion claims it's true religion so why not believe in Judaism because it came before Christianity? I feel ashamed to even talk to god. As no worthy human

So how about a cancer patient who can’t keep food down? Or ptsd victims that are tortured with nightmares? Or insomniacs who don’t want chemical drugs? This is a tough one for me, by this line of thinking, should we forgo all medicine? Should I not take benydril because it makes me woozy? Where is the line where medicine isn’t medicine anymore?

I think it’s how you do it, as with alcohol, or anything that tempts you, does it pull you from god? Do you think about it all day and night? In place of god? Are you using it medicinally? For sleep? Anxiety? PTSD? Or just to be high all the time. I think if you place god, unquestioningly at the center of your life, glorify Him the way He deserves to be. If you’re using it for medical reasons like pain, to keep off of highly addictive chemicals, I believe that you are good to go. Do not use me as an excuse to smoke, if you are feeling conviction in your heart, you’re probably not doing something right and need to readjust your priorities.

I need help

I don’t know what to do with my life I am very lost and my head is filled with unholy thoughts

I prayed to God to help me with my Cannabis addiction. I promised him I would quit. I made it a week before I broke my promise. After smoking every day for a year, I took one hit and God blessed me with one of the worst panic attacks I’ve ever had. It’s lasted days so far, and I’m still going through it. I now find myself praying day and night begging for forgiveness. God answers prayers and reminds us of our promises. I’ve learned my lesson and am buckling down for my punishment. Praise Jesus.

Sometimes I wonder why i wasn't protected as a child,and was sexually abused so much as a child, even having my first child at 13 by an adult man,and my mom did nothing.. About time I was 14 i was being sex trafficked by a pimp i was with until my late 20s. I was addicted to sex, getting high,and watching porn every day...I was introduced to porn at 11 years old..I'm 47 years old today, saved now,but the sexual perversion in my mind has been one of the most difficult strongholds to pull down. All those sexual encounters is so embedded in my mind,i cry,and ask JESUS to help me every day. Im not the same person as i used to to be,but every now and then I fall into the temptation of watching porn. Woman are just as addicted to porn as men. Ive also done porn myself. When i was a child I was in the streets of San Francisco lost, broken,and felt unloved by a mom who had 7 other kids to raise ..A single mom,who connected me to her curses
